A welcome addition to Alteco is our new Chairman of the Board, Jan Nilsson. Jan took office as a board member a year ago, and in the autumn the nomination committee proposed him as Chairman of the Board, succeeding Örjan Andersson, who is handing over the chairmanship with a warm hand.

- In the role of chairman, Jan will further strengthen the company through his genuine leadership and strong integrity. During his professional life, Jan has built up solid expertise in managing large and complex industrial projects , says Örjan Andersson.
Jan's personal qualities and broad industrial knowledge will be a welcome addition in the future as many large industrial investments in Norrbotten will go from plan to reality.
- Jan will continue the strategic work of building an even stronger team that can continue to contribute to the major investments here in the North, says Alteco's CEO Isak Vikman.
Jan has lived in Skellefteå for many years and has over 30 years of experience in leading, participating in and running high-tech industrial projects at Boliden, Outokumpu and Outotec. During his career in industry, Jan has worked both nationally and internationally but has always had the greatest focus on the mines and smelters in the area around Skellefteå. Regarding the new role, Jan says that Alteco's open and transparent working environment with a focus on quality and competence was of great importance when he accepted the chairman's gavel.
-Alteco wants to develop and build something good and I am really looking forward to being part of that journey. The fact that the company prioritizes quality over volume is important for the long term and to be able to meet future challenges in the industry. There are both driven and talented people here and it feels very nice to be trusted as their new chairman of the board, says Jan Nilsson
Jan Nilsson took up his new position in November 2021.
